BJD Hammermill for Croatian fertilizer giant
BJD Crushers Ltd has recently supplied one of its UEB-type Hammermills to Croatian company Petrokemija d.d., which produces 1.35 million tonnes of mineral fertilizer a year. Based in Kutina, central Croatia, Petrokemija d.d. employs 2,370 people and is Croatia’s third largest exporter. Principally engaged in the production of mineral fertilizers, the company also produces liquid fertilizers, clay-based products and black carbon.
The 24x30 BJD Hammermill, supplied to Petrokemija d.d. will be employed on granular size reduction of Mono-Ammonium Phosphate (MAP); a mineral fertilizer which is a highly efficient source of phosphorus and nitrogen nutrition for crops. Designed for a throughput of 20 tonnes per hour from an infeed of 2- 5mm, the Hammermill will produce a nominal granular product of minus 1mm (95%) with 25% minus 0.2mm.
The BJD UEB-type Hammermill is particularly well suited to fertilizer duty where moisture levels of the feed material are variable. Featuring an extended sloping back, it provides additional angled space within the crushing chamber which helps prevent bridging when processing material with a moisture content of up to 10%. The crusher is constructed of heavy plate steel, with heavy-duty renewable liners, and is fitted with a screen arrangement to match the duty. Mounted on a base frame, the modular package comprises Hammermill, fully guarded drive arrangement and electric motor.
BJD Hammermills have, over the years, acquired an enviable reputation for being reliable, efficient machines for size reduction of friable and fibrous materials. They are part of a complete range of processing and recycling equipment from BJD Crushers Ltd, which includes Impactors, Double Roll Crushers, Mud Hogs, Flexmills and Flextooth Crushers.
